Amy & B: A Love Written in Autumn Leaves and Cowboy Hats
Amy & B: A Love Written in Autumn Leaves and Cowboy Hats

Some love stories are meant to be celebrated in grand, sweeping gestures. Others are written in quiet, intimate moments that feel like they’ve existed forever, like the story of Amy and B. From the first moment they met at the Paris Fair to exchanging their private vows, their wedding day was a reflection of who they are: bold, full of laughter, and deeply in love. Being chosen to capture their day wasn’t just a job; it was an invitation into a story that felt personal, warm, and unforgettable from start to finish.
This lovely couple found me through a recommendation after attending a wedding with a content creator, and I am beyond grateful to have been the one to capture their story. What started as a client connection quickly turned into a friendship, and every detail of their wedding reflected who they are, their love, their family, and their style. Every element had a personal touch, a signature that said, this is Amy and B’s day.
I travelled down to the charming town of Port Colborne, Ontario, to the stunning Maple Meadows Farm + Event Centre. Every part of this property felt like it was built for their love story, from the spaces where they got ready, to the private vows and first-look moments, to the ceremony, and finally to the reception and dancing. Being able to witness their day unfold in a space that amplified their personalities was such an honour.
One of the best parts of my job is connecting with couples on a deeper level, and this day allowed me to do exactly that. Hearing their love story, how it all began at the Paris Fair, how B asked Amy and her friend to go out for a drink, and how they instantly clicked, made every moment feel like the next perfect chapter in their book. Surrounded by family and friends, it felt like I had known them for far longer than the 12 hours we spent together on their wedding day.
This wedding was filled with so many personal, memorable moments. Amy gifted her dad a heartfelt present during their father-daughter first look. Their private vows were equally moving, showing how their love has blossomed over the years. Gentle reminder to anyone reading: real love is allowed to make you cry, and yes, everyone should.
The mother-daughter connection on this day was equally unforgettable. Amy gifted her mom a beautiful autumn-inspired bouquet with help from her bridesmaids, then shared the sweetest mother-daughter dance to a song she had written herself. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room, and capturing these moments on video was nothing short of an honour. These memories will live on, long after the day itself, for Amy, her mom, and their family.
And then… there was the mechanical bull. Yes, a mechanical bull. After their first dance as a married couple, Amy and B took their first ride together, kicking off what turned into a night full of dancing, laughter, and celebration. Their outfit changes, cowboy hats, and overall energy truly made this wedding one of a kind. From start to finish, every detail perfectly mirrored who they are and the story they’re writing together.
Being part of Amy and B’s day was a reminder of why I do what I do. It’s not just about capturing moments on video; it’s about celebrating love in all its unique forms, connecting with incredible people, and preserving memories that will last a lifetime.
